The draft Responsible Buyer’s Charter developed by the SIA’s Buyer’s Special Interest Group (SiG) and endorsed by the SIA, sets a framework for informed, transparent and responsible security purchasing.
The primary goal of this initiative is to bring together industry experts from procurement, insurance, security businesses, security authorities, and security purchasers to develop a comprehensive charter collaboratively. This Charter will serve as a guiding framework for responsible purchasing, ethical practices, and sustainability within the security industry. By doing so, we aim to professionalise the industry, elevate standards, and ensure that security personnel are prioritised in terms of health, well-being, fair pay, and public support.
